I’m thinking that if I get a little time this weekend I might try to implement a couple of features on the short list. It just helps keep me motivated to do something fun once in awhile. This last weekend and cold has really put me behind where I wanted to be with the networking code anyway.
One that I would like to do is add a couple of ship attributes. I could start with Hull Strength such that a ship could be shot more than once before it explodes.
Another could be adding a mini map and larger boundaries.
A third could be shields. Of course that would also have to come with an improvement to energy tracking.
Another one that could be fun is adding like a large “mother” ship that the AI ships spawn from. That would be interesting. Especially if I implement the Hull Strength so it is tougher than I normal ship….
